1978 wheel/rim question..

Good morning all. New here. Hope everyone is well. We have a question about a set of wheels for a 1978 MB. We want to know if these are aftermarket or OEM wheels that came off the car...We attached two pictures.. One of what the wheels look like and one of a name on the inside of the wheel. I believe it says REMOIC? Our question is are these original wheels that came with the car or are they aftermarket? Thanks for you help. Sincerely, Larry

Real ones will have a MB part number cast on the inside and the bolt holes will be edged in steel.

Remotec gets no love. I guess they did their own renditions of designs made by others, aka "reps". The 280sl wheeler dealers episode shows the guys offing the Remotec reps but for a price higher than that of the bundts they put on. Being Remotec bundts. Ouch. It's hard enough to get rid of bundts, let alone Bundt reps.

Good morning. Thank you both for your replies. That link you sent RUMB was great. Fonzi, we definitely found out the hard way that these were not original wheels. Thanks again guys. Enjoy your day. Sincerely, Larry
