'71 Mercedes 280S/w108/w109

Hello, I just recently began to restore a five speed manual trans 1971 MBZ 280S. Was checking here on Benzworld to see if anyone has an extra connecting rod bearing set (part #: 1140300460) lying around for sale.
Thanks!

I have a friend I sold a siezed m130 from a 1969 280s. He freed it up, cleaned it up, and has it now as a display piece to simply play with. If interested in a condition like this, I can see if he is willing to part with it.

Thanks, Rumb! I think I'm going to purchase the connecting rod bearing set from mboemparts.com. The dealer wanted $388.00 and had to wait about two months for parts to ship to me!

Yes, ask your buddy if he's willing to part out '69 280S, thanks again Fonzi!

I will ask and let you know. I parted out the 1969 280s and he is a w114 enthusiast and almost all of his cars are m130, thus his interest.

The new rods and bearings for under $400 sound like a smart move though.
