I disconected one of the wires of the pump and measured the voltage (with a tester) between that wire and the other that remained conected while my wife was turning the ignition key. No voltage. So I arrived to the conclusion that some device in the circuit that supplies DC to the pump was failing.
I gave up after checking the relays and finding them working, and yesterday I towed my car to the mechanic.
He told me that there are three relays involved and a timmer, but the problem was not there. The injection circuit was dirty and that makes the pump stopping to work.
My advice: check the injection system.
