I don't believe the SOHC m130 engines ever came in a d-jet variant. I believe the m130 was last in 1972 cars, while the m110 dohc seems to have replaced it, a direct replacement in such cars as the w114, where the 1973 year had the w114 had the diagonal firewall supports eliminated in order to fit the m110 dohc. I believe the m110 was available in D-jet right from the start. I know the m110 was used in w116 cars, and don't believe the m130 was used in w116 cars. I also don't believe that the m110 ever went into any w108 at the factory. I believe the m110 went to k-jet at the end of 1976.
6.3 are not d-jet. I'm not sure what it is but assume it is the same mechanical Bosch injection.
M116 and m117 were never used i with the older mechanical injection. They got d-jet from the start and switch to k-jet around the beginning of 1976.
So... I don't think there were ever any d-jet 6-cyl w108, and doubt there were any mechanically injected early w116.
And my w108 is a 1973. I know the w108 and w116 had some overlap, but assume it was limited to the 1973 model year, which you often can't find for a w108 despite having seen many 1973 w108 cars.
So the important thing is that I'm pretty confident Kent's video applies.
