W109 M130 Coolant in Oil
Looking for a little insight and guidance before getting into a major engine issue.
Have a 1970 280 SEL, W109 M130.
Runs great and reasonably good compression, but over a short period of time (estimated 100 to 200 miles) a significant amount of coolant has made its way into the crank case, evidenced by the telltale symptom of milky engine oil.
A cursory diagnosis would be a failed head gasket, but hoping to get some thoughts from those with experience with an M130 engine and a large volume of coolant in the crank case within a relatively short amount of time, on whether or not its commonly a head gasket, or is just as likely something different. Crack in the head/engine block crack/another component failure/voodoo curse etc.
If the integrity of the head is compromised, is it repairable, or better to replace the head?
