Parts compatibility--w115 1974 240D

I have a 1974 240D. I'm curious what parts/years are compatible.
I have a chance to get a 68' 240D, ideally as a parts car. Any feedback is appreciated.

I think you can make the sleeker bumpers fit your 74.

The 74-76 chassis is different in many easy as I understand it. Different front doors, mirrors, fenders, grill, tail lights. Big list of changes I think.

I believe you can use most of what's under the hood. Different lights, bumpers, side mirrors, windows, door handles, seats, trim, steering wheel, etc.

Having had a 73 280, I would swap the front doors just to get wing windows on your 74. The little wheel controls to open & shut them are a nice touch. Our 73 also had really nice Zebrano wood. It just depends on what condition the 68 is in whether the interior has anything useful. Could even have a better/more valuable radio and a crack free dash. Don
