68 280 se coupe ignition /start fuse electrical issue

Still dealing with my fuse issue tried to start the car my jumping it.. weird thing happened when I put the key in and got ready to turn on realized the car was in 2nd so put in park and it started to try to start as soon as I put it in park even when I turned key off and took it out ..it seemed like it would only stoped tying to turn over when I put it into drive or 1 or 2??/ please help .. is there an arc or someway the ignition switch has jumped its circuit?

Any help would be great ?

Have you looked at all the wiring you can to see if anything is melted anywhere? this needs to be the first thing you do. I doubt the headlight or ignitions switch is the problem, it is the wiring going to it.

On you other post about removing the switch, you need to remove the instrument cluster so you can look at all the wiring, also the panel about drivers knees. get a flashlight and look at all the wiring and let us know what you see.

Until you diagnose the wiring weird stuff is going to happen and not going to be able to diagnose on their own.
