Value is in the eye of the seller and buyer.
The wire wheels are not common, so if someone is really after that style then they have few options. So perhaps $500-800 (including wheel bolts) for the set if the chrome is in good nick.
However, I am not sure how big the market is for these - are they uncommon because of cost, or because they actually don't look that good no these era of cars? More of a 30's-50's thing. I personally don't like them on 111 and 108's.
Now, as to your steel wheels, you need to figure out what you want:
- are you about having a car look all original? If so, you need to figure out what wheels and caps should have been on there to start with. If your car is a 250SE, it likely had the 2 piece dog dish caps and trim rings - in which case you need the wheels with the 'ears' as per post #12
. If it is a 280SE, it likely had the one piece covers like you showed in your other post, and any steelies will work. Hop on google and type w111 250se and w111 280se to see images of both types.
- if you don't care about originality and want to use those 1 piece 14" hub caps you already have, you don't need anything special so you should not pay more than $30 each per wheel.
So there is no way I would be swapping those wire wheels with steelies without a cash addition in your favour.
