Temperature switch for 1972 250

Hi guys, I ordered what the EPC says is the right temperature switch, part number 0035452224 but on the EPC it says its 65 degree but the one I received is 70 degree.

Whats going on here?

Thanks

Temperature switch for what?

The vacuum changeover solenoids? (Vacuum advance for distributor/chokes)

If so then the 70C one is the proper one (158F). Nothing wrong with using either one. Difference of only 9 degrees and the 70C one is more in line with the accepted 160F level used most often as minimal operating temperature.

Hi Mike, Thanks for the reply. The part I'm replacing on my car is thermo switch on the head just before the 6th cylinder and the one I bought to replace it is a 70 degree and has a different connection. I was just going to change the plug on my car to the right plug to fit the new switch, will that work ok do you know?

Thanks so much.
