I haven't ever removed one without damaging it, but it wasn't as if I cared.
Here are some guesses in how to remove it so it could be reinstalled:
First the door trim U-shaped stuff probably needs to come off the expose the edges at the doors.
The windshield trim too.
I think the back around the rear glass window might be the toughest. I don't know what needs to be removed back there to explose the edges. I also don't know how the bottom of the c-pillars attach.
Then after all the edges are exposed, I think you can just bend out each metal bow.
My dream car is a classic sporty five speed (stick+overdrive) convertible that seats five. If, you want 70's-80's Mercedes tuner wheels, let me know.
