Your two-tone 280SE is beautiful.

I really appreciate your knowledge on what to look for and what to reasonably expect to pay.

As mentioned, I am not a mechanic / will have to rely on professionals. Good news/bad news.

It seems that every 280SE 4.5 that I like on either Ebay or Hemmings is listed by a seller who thinks that their car is worth $35K. Definitely need to proceed with caution.

I'm willing to pay a fair price for a lower mileage, 280SE 4.5 in exceptional shape. If anyone on this site has knowledge of such - please let me know.

Great site. Thanks to all.

The one I linked you to certainly seems to be such. You didn't like it?

Probably not too much healthier than the 14K+ you were willing to pay for a heap with 134k miles.

I could be wrong.

The 6.3 YouTube guy stopped the series. His last one was of him trying to start the thing and failing. Damned shame too. I couldn't have cared less about the brakes or his thoughts on gas, I just wanted to hear it start and run. I was disappointed he let it go.

You may want check again. He has posted another episode (31 I think), where he starts the car and it sounds great.

Yes he got it running. He sank a lot of time and money already into that car. I don't see him giving up. He loves it to much

Hey buddy, thanks for the CL leads.

I will be checking on both of them.

In the meantime, I appreciate any others that you locate.
