W115 door trim/panel material

Hello everyone! Would anyone know what material w115 door trims are made of? The material under the MB Tex? I'm thinking of replacing my door trims as a DIY project but I'm not sure what to use. Would MDF's be ok to use? Thanks!

I think that "Masonite" might be the term. I think it is like the material that pegboard is made of. I would guess that Home Depot or Lowes would have it.

Someone recently mentioned contacting an upholstery shop because they make these all the time and have some material on hand most of the time.

I think MDF is pressed and glued wood shavings, and might be something that can disintegrate if wet. I'm not sure about that though.

I used 3/16" hardboard from Home Depot for my W108. Its about $12 for a 4' x 8' sheet
