It's been a while since I played with an early M-pump, like on your OM615, but does your delivery valve assembly look like this:



This is from an OM602, but the concept should be the same.

Yep, that's it! Thanks! I don't know if the orientation of the bored cylinder matters... but I suppose it might. I got out this morning and took the springs and valve plunger out of #1 and #2 and pumped up the hand pump they filled immediately. Putting them back in and turning the crankshaft, however, nothing welling up in #1 .
