W113 W108 Fuel Injectors

Hello,

I removed my fuel injectors from my W113 280SL and they all have terrible spray pattern, so I will have to change all of them.

Does anyone know where I can find them at a reasonable price or does anyone have tested working used ones?

Are they the same on the 230/250 models?

Thank you

Before you replace them have you considered soaking them in carb cleaner and blowing them out?

Mercedessource has a kit for cleaning them if you decide to go that route: https://mercedessource.com/store/bos...d-cleaning-kit

He has some videos showing the process as well.

I had them cleaned ultrasonically and then re-tested on the pressure tester - terrible spray pattern.

Yes, I am aware of this kit, but as Kent says, there is no guarantee - I had them cleaned at a Bosch service and they were nice enough to invite me inside.

The ultra sonic got rid of all the deposits, they look like new on the outside (they were extremely dirty), so I infer that it did the same for the inside. However, the spray pattern did no change...

The pintles are more than likely worn, so no amount of cleaning can fix that. I don't believe the nozzles can be replaced like diesel injectors. They should be swapped out as a complete set.

I boughtmine at Napa (I ordered them). I also bought the fuel dampers, which they had in stock. You should also try the administrator of this forum - I've had good luch with him as well.

You are across the pond I would think they are less expensive there.

Great - what price did you get of them?

Really do not understand why they are so expensive, very simple part compared to others...must be low volumes.
