Today she idled for over an hour on my driveway. It idled so long that the auxilary fan came on to assist in cooling. I noticed one thing. When a couple of days pass by, the alternator charges 14v. When it shuts off after closing the hood or one of my doors, the alternator only puts out 12.5. It makes me laugh at the crazy thing it does after i close my hood. I have never seen that! Checked the ground from the engine block to the body and it is nice and tight. The first time it shut off after closing he hood, the vehicle lasted about 6 days cranking and no start. Today it only lasted about 3 hours. During the time it cranks and no start, i leave the key on and i move the accelerator linkage and the 20 clicks can be heard. After that, you can crank it and it wants to start, but it doesnt. Power to the coil os good. I am afraid to drive her because i am afraid i will hit a bump (railroad tracks) that she will turn off on me and not start. Thanks guys!!
