How get rid of rat smell??

This beautiful W108 I picked up has been sleeping for long time and it smelled not so well inside. Once I started cleaning, found a dead mouse next to foot rest under the mat. After digging more found two more dead mouse in air vent under the dash!!! plus tons of mouse shit under seats!!

Whats the best way to get rid of smell?

Thank you,

Remove all offensive solid matter, clean carpets and seats using rented commercial equipment, perhaps going so far as an ozone generator. Long term, your biggest residual problem will be urine. Depending upon budget you may be ahead of the game by contacting one of the commercial cleaning companies that specialize in sanitizing crime scenes - they do an amazing job.

That's hard to get rid of. I had a couple mice die in my car and took many months to get rid of smell. Try this ZEP 32 oz. Blue Sky Scent Air and Fabric Odor Eliminator-ZUAIR32 - The Home Depot

Before you get too involved with the job, wear a full face mask to keep from inhaling some nasty toxins. Hanta virus is sort of deadly.

You may need to strip the interior out and vacuum all the crap from all crevices. Double bag the vac bag. If you want a good solution, use the peroxide spray on everything you pul out. Mix one part hydrogen peroxide to 10 parts water. A spray bottle will make it easy to get everything damp, but not soaking. Scrub it with a soft brush. It may take a few applications, but it will get the smell gone, the toxins oxidized, and deal with mold or other possible gunk.

Ozone generation is pretty cool but really damaging to the plastic inside the car. It will age it really fast and does not clean, it just deals with airborne molecules.
