I know m117 owners like pertronix.

I've seem m130 owners with both good reports on HotSpark (Luna Gaudi) and others reporting having issues getting it to work.

My understanding is that both of those fit under the distributor and keep your car looking stock.

I haven't seen many recent reports on Crane or optical Allison units in a while.

I have the Pertronix in my 6.3 and a 123ignition distributor in the 280sl. Both work very well. It's nice not to have to fiddle with points especially the dual points in the 6.3. The Pertronix cost about $130 vs about $ 400-450 for the 123ignition distributor. The cool thing about the 123 is it has a usb port so you can connect it to your laptop and adjust the spark advance curve to what ever suites you.
