Thanks for the response. Wednesday I'll start checking the things you listed. Tonight I pulled the air cleaner and the carbs are dry. I noticed the center valve cover bolt wasn't as tight as it could have been so I tightened it down. I'd missed it previously and only tightened the front and rear ones. I'm hoping I didn't over tighten them now.
The leak you describe sounds more like a pressurized spraying leak, as opposed to some seepage from the valve cover (where there should not be significant pressure as the PCV valve sends any pressure as blow by into the air cleaner).
Where are there pressurized oil flows on the driver side of the engine?
Spend some time wiping down the mess and take focus on where there was the largest amount of oil. Your leak probably isn't far from there.
