Cracked dashboard repair

Hi everyone! I have a w115 with a cracked dash as many would relate to. I searched here and on the web and found like 4 possible solutions:

1.- Buy a dash cover: easy and fast but not very good and they look kinda ugly.
2.- Fill in the cracks with epoxy and possibly paint it: this is a better solution but that wouldn't last long according to what I've read.
3.- Buying a new dash from a JY or ebay: This is quite expensive and since I'm in Lima then there isn't many of such places here.
4.- Recover the dash with new vinyl: this option seems to be the best for a long lasting repair and I feel incline to do it.

I wanted to share this here so I could get some feedback on the best option. Since I'm wanting to go with the 4th I wanna know if anyone has ever done that before? And what kind of vinyl, adhesive and foam they used to recover a dash?

Here's a video I found on how to do it, I want to know if that is the correct way of doing it?

Thank you!!
