working 4x8 Blaupunkt speaker

Starting on "Frau Bluker" with the easy stuff, anyone know where a 4x8 oval
speaker can be found for the Blaupunkt radio in my '70 220D? The old one has the number 8637621057 and 7C11 on the magnet.

Hit Amazon and search for those dimensions - you'll get a ton of results. Another option is eBay (assuming you don't want something from the Cla$$ic Center)

The problem with googling or amazon for that speaker size is that it's going to be for a modern radio and expect WAY more watts than your radio is going to produce.

Currently: 1967 250 SL, 1963 220Sb, 1965 300SE Lang, 1971 280SE parts car, 1972 Alfa GTV, 1965 Alfa Duetto, 1993 BMW R100R

Maybe. But if that radio shows a power out or RMS power out, Amazon or eBay will give the guy options on where to find a speaker to match such a thing (as well as the correct impedance). The Cla$$ic Center, if they stock such a thing, will have bought something new(er), as "old stock" speakers will have brittled or rotted away by now.

the correct speakers for all the assorted shapes can be purchased new from SLS in Germany for less than the prices you see on ebay. This is more of an issue for the really long skinny speakers. I think my Pagoda speaker was $75 or something like that...
