1960 Mercedes 300SL coupe/roadster. New paint, silver, Medium blue leather restored to original color - 95% perfect. Mechanically excellent. 31,450 miles. Both tops. $25,000.
$25,000 in 1978, Price now: $1,100,000 - $1,800,000

Yea I saw that in my Hagerty news letter. It was just as out of reach then as it is now.

I saw a gullwing at friend of my dad's in the 70's. I think they were around $10K. Always wished my dad would have bought one then. Everytime I drive past that house I remember it.
