Friend of mine helped put in a new muffler. Also fixed the valve cover gasket leak, replaced the seal. What I really need to get is a lift, ran out of time and got the bushings and electrical problems done at our local garage we've known for years. One mechanic their speacializes in classic Mercedes. They thought the car was a beauty, took a few weeks to get everything done. Everything electrical wise is now working.
What I'm working on now is body and interior. What I have left to do is to grind out the floors, recoat em, recoat the trunk, fix the rust bubbles in the right front fender, re-stuff the front driver and passenger seats, put in my Becker Mexico, get a new antenna, do a valve adjustment, and replace the power steering pump filter.
Now for some reason I'm still having this problem. When I put the car from reverse into drive the back drops to the ground and makes a loud clunk noise, going in reverse it sort of whines. I originally thought it was the U-Joints but my garage doesn't think so.
Other than that it's been driving like a charm, just passed inspection last Friday. Thanks everyone for the help, I could not have dove into the Mercedes world without it.
