After carefully going over this in my mind for some time I have come to the conclusion thinking for myself that shipping the car to Massachusetts is the way to go. Seeing I haven't had the car inspected if the car breaks down half way to mass I'm up the creek. The tires on the car are on their way out too. I say get the car up here, fix anything that needs fixing than take a cross country trip. For all intensive purchases I 99% own the car!
Now, never purchased a used car from a private seller before. My other car's from a dealer I bought 4 years ago where they take care of it all. As far as the title goes how would he go about transferring the title over to me. I'm assuming he has to sign it in his name to me? I guess he can leave it in the glove compartment for me to sign when the car arrives. What would you guys do? The car has no proof of insurance, not registered, and no license plates.
As far as I can see, I will have a "new" 300D sitting in my drive way within the coming weeks. As much as I would of loved to post a cross country story on here I have to be realistic. For $1500 I'm expecting anything. Don't be disappointed now. I'll post pictures when it arrives, first drive, and modifications I'm going to make to it. This is the smart thing to do.
