I appreciate the input guys, and don't worry, there will be ABSOLUTELY no cutting in my car. Its starting to sound like retro sound is the way to go here. Also, I'm sure the speakers are shot too seeing as they haven't been used in years. I'm assuming that any regular 6.5" (thats what they look like) coaxial speakers will just pop right in there correct?

"As with the wiring part I'd strongly recommend that you install a ISO harness in your car"(http://xtrons.com/media/catalog/prod...1/2/12-002.jpg)

----- Suktinis, I'm pretty much sold on the RetroSound because of the price and features it offers, do you think that head unit would support an ISO harness?

----- Just took the old ones out and tested them, they're no good (not surprising). Just answered my own question...

Incorrect. A unique size. If going with Retrosound, get the speaker I previously mentioned that they provide. It is designed to configure directly with the audio unit, is a direct replacement for the original speaker & provides stereo sound from a single speaker.

The ISO connector may very well come with the Retrosound radio. Check with them. Keeps wiring simple & tidy behind the scenes.

Let us know how it goes.

I'd have to agree with DerFuror, when I check the online manual for the retrosound model 2 head unit the 'car-part' of the ISO plug seems to be included as well, so just check with your dealer

If you'd like to read in some more I recommend going to retrosounds homepage; they have the manuals posted online (under support)

As for myself I dont remember if I got the car-plug included or not, as my car was already ISO-compatible
