The way I read the diagram, it provides ground "85" to the relay, and that will cause the relay to power the glow plugs until the coolant reaches a certain temperature. Then the switch opens and the relay cuts the power off.

Easy enough to test - just unplug the sensor and see if that make the problem go away.

to no need to be rude , you are wrong , it does not work that way . the temp sensor is just a indicator on how long to glow , depending on temp , the sensor does not actuate the glow plugs .

I went a step further and read the Operation section of the manual. Agillot is correct, the temperature sensor only controls the length of time the light stays on. The glow plugs are energized by the relay when the key is turned to "on" and stay energized until the key is turned to "start" and released.
