I did make this work alright. It's been almost a year since my project and all is okay.
Did you buy the sheathing from them? That stuff I wasn't happy with - when you cut it to size it frays all over the place. I had to tape it up then cover the end with the boot. I would recommend a different type of sheathing.
I did order some of the sheathing, but at same time have been doing some research. There is place called WireCare that has black silicone coated glass sheathing that would look a lot like the existing but is good for high temperatures. Pictures on 107 forum thread. I was going to buy it in the 8AWG and 3AWG sizes, but they wanted $75 for freight to Canada
So still looking.
I edited my previous post - Those Finjector connectors are wrong size. They are for 0.8mm spades (Injectors are 0.5mm). I bought my boots from http://repro-parts.de/Bosch_D-Jetronic/D-Jetronik.html
- they apparently have the correct housings and connectors (although had to find them on their site!) I use Chrome to translate.
