You have the "barber pole" style vertical speedometer, correct? Then it is as agillot said. You reach up from under the dash and there is a wing nut you remove from the rear of the cluster. The cluster can then be pushed out to gain access to the rear, at which time you need to unscrew the oil line, take the two screws out to carefully remove the temperature gauge from the cluster, and unscrew the speedometer cable. The electrical connector is accessed from underneath the dash and it just pulls off (I think there is a plastic nut and capture plate to remove first).
FYI, there is no tachometer on those style instrument clusters.
