A year is not that long, but if your worried, drain the gas tank, replace it with some fresh fuel, pull the plugs and the coil wire. Check the oil level!! Check the fuel lines!! The belts!! Wiring!! Squirt some oil in the spark plug holes. You can turn it over by hand at first listening and feeling for any issues then turn it with the starter a few times put the plugs back in reconnect the coil. Ready to start it up. might need some starting fliud. after it starts let it warm up. let it idle. if your really worried after a good warm up shut it down, and let it cool down, when engine is cold. change the oil.
If it was running okay when parked this should get it up and going, then fall in to routine maintenance as per the mileage.
