I disagree Fonzi. I think that when people act up on the forums they should be called on it.

Calling him "Rude" isn't constructive in my opinion,

In the written word, the facts are right, and people who post incorrect data without at least stating that they aren't sure are simply wrong, thus losing all credibility.

Unavita is a power mongering w107 enthusiast. Recently there was a "690sl" on ebay and my opinion is that he is researching putting a 6.3 or a 6.9 in a 107, or possibly just looking at buying a true 6.3 or 6.9 for the sale of owning one. I think the way in which the chassis/model number question was answered earlier in the thread is exactly what he is seeking. That's how we talk about 107 VINs anyway. Of course, I don't know though, and certainly could be wrong.

Fonzi knows how my brain works all to well!! That is exactly correct on both sides! I love the idea of an all Mercedes fast as snot SL. I've seen them with blowers and Ford nine inch rears. With LT-1s and LS-4s. And with 6.9s! But I would love to have a worked 6.3 similar to the one in Jay Leno's 600.

Now that I have my first baby on the way I will need a sedan. I pick the 300 or 450SEL.... maybe a 560.
Dreams are made to be had!

Thank you all for the information... as well as the entertainment. I wish we could all do it at a pub!

Yes. So you agree that I'm doing the right thing by calling you out?

I actually think it's best to ignore bad behavior or handle it privately. Handling it the way we are right now is thread pollution. PM the guy if you have a problem with his tone.

We can agree to disagree regarding my behavior.

As for how to handle it, my preferred method is for respective parties to go back and edit or delete their posts and clean up the thread.

This may not have been worded in the most polite way, but it is not opinion. It is fact.
@Scoot : Your perception of his comment as "rude" is opinion.

Fonzi, we can agree to disagree.

Yeah. I was just making an effort to show you a side of the argument you may not have seen. It's hard to read words without implying tone, but I think that's what you have to do, and also understand that most people aren't on this forum to try and pic fights, but to try and help other people. This thread is toast, but fortunately unavita got his information.

I know it happens all the time with new guys in the 107 forum taking brutal facts personally or reading some tones from them (which usually are misreadings if tone), and a new guy gets his feathers all ruffled. But you've been around a while scoot. You should know not to get your feathers ruffled.

I know... Agree to disagree. I am just trying to help. Maybe in not the best way. So, please accept my apologies to every time who ever opens/opened this thread.

My feathers are not ruffled, and I don't think you have anything to apologize for. The thread became uninteresting and off topic way back and the OP got the info he needed so all is fine.
