That wasn't out there when we worked the area, via Pick your part on Milliken and Ecology Colton (moved to Rialto), plus Hillside.

Here's the link to the mounting location from the Becker Auto Sound web site. I'm in the process of re-fitting the original Becker in my 300 and found this information helpful. I'll be stopping by Becker on Wednesday and would be happy to ask any questions while I'm there.

Excellent, this explains what I wasn't able to explain and now it makes sense. Non A/C cars it mounts above the passenger foot area. A/C cars it mounts in the center by the heater box. I've only seen in in (W108/W111) A/C cars as shown and in W111 non-AC cars as shown in the other diagram. The bracket for AC cars is a pain to remove.

I visited with Ed Ebel at Becker Auto Sound in Jersey this afternoon and dropped of two Becker Europa units for rebuild. He showed me one they had recently finished that looked great. Seems like a top notch place.

Eddie and Tom are great guys, really know their stuff and go to great lengths to support the Mercedes community. They have always provided top notch service on Becker products and are always willing to answer questions or make recommendations when it comes to their products.
