Thanks guys. It does start very hard but in addition has a pretty bad misfire. I cleaned the points, cap, rotor and will say it needs a tune-up pretty bad. The parts list goes up but I know it'll pay off once I get her on the road

Here's my Todo list so far:

New tires (recommendations on white walls?)
engine oil, rear diff, brake fluid change (check pads and lines)
adjust valves, upper gaskets
fuel filter, rubber lines
convert to pertronix, coil, wires, plugs, cap, rotor
repair driver window regulator (might have to weld in new teeth)
heater control levers

If you're curious about whats in the corral. This might be interesting :P

01 Jetta Wagon VR6 5 speed

86 Toyota MR2 (2zz-ge swap)

57 Ford F100 (FI 302 + 4r70w trans)

57 Cardinal Deluxe Camper

The W108 will be replacing my MR2 as I've ran out of spot for cars.

I just bought a set of whitewalls for my car. 205/75/14 they are Hankook and readily available on line for about $60 each. I got them on recommendations from this site they seem to be very good value. Here is a picture on the car which looks similar to yours.
Cheers john.
