New 280c owner...

I'm trying to wrap my head around all the info and technical details regarding my new addition to the family. I know the 1973 280c I just picked up to restore and enjoy is referenced as a w114 chassis. I know the car has a dual overhead cam straight six with a Solex four barrel carburetor. I know the car is going to take a lot of work! Anyway, let me know if there are any good info and parts resources I should be looking at. Thanks!

I'll have all that info... eventually. Short version:

Found it for less than I could part it out for, if I wanted. I've wanted one for a while, so I figured this was a great time to snag one! The guy bought it at auction as a project, but he never got around to it and needed the cash. He never even put the title in his name. It runs rough from sitting, and the first project might just be a rebuild of the Solex four barrel. It needs a full resto, but I'd prefer that, as I can pick out the car's color, seat material, etc... I plan to stay more on the original side, but will add a little non-oem flavor to it. I'll keep Benz wheels and find a Benz silver for the paint, but they might not be from a w114. I'll keep the original seats, but they'll eventually be covered in a custom leather. Stuff like that.

I'm still learning the car. I only drove it 15 miles to a place I could keep it for a few days. With that carb in rough shape, it wasn't and easy drive... but, at times it was pure joy! It was last registered and inspected 15 years ago, so you can expect a long journey ahead of me!
