75 450sl pertronix elec module

Bought this electronic module (custom made, they said)from pertronix awhile back, but no one seems to know how to hook it up. had it running VERY poorly for a short while last spring...now no go. I am unclear where the red/black wires need to hook up (appears at the resister on drivers side firewall?)....alternately I'd like to go back to points (dealer says there is no condenser for this model needed, but unclear how to wire it), until someone can help me. My silver baby needs some body work, but was running fine till I mucked up the Haley circuit board, rendering it useless.
anyone have a schematic I can refer to---or similar experience? new here, so not sure how to access old threads pertaining to this question.

First some basics. Which pertronix model did you buy? What coil are you using?

pertronix are pretty bullet proof and should only take an hour at most to install.

As mentioned above .
Share the installation you did ,most likely a error in connecting the red wire ,it connects to a12v supply wire directly not via the resistors which will cause a misfiring condition.

Bypass the resistor entirely. The red wire hooks up to the voltage side of the coil (blue, or red, or some other color). The black wire hooks up to the other side of the coil, which will have a brown or black wire. It may even have a + and - stamped on it (red to +, black to -). Did you buy the pertronix coil too? If not, I'd recommend getting it. It'll make a difference.
