I don't have the info you requested, but if you're selling this set I hope you enjoy being surrounded by large piles of cash.

I am selling it, The reason I posted it here is in the hope to get more information on it. I am certain there are others similar, though perhaps not in this good of condition or from the same year. I am far from an MB expert, though I do know Mr. Baische produced these cases for MB, I have seen them on some of the touring cars. This one of course is unique because of not only its craftsmanship, but it's pedigree, or who owned it. My goal is to reunite it with the correct MB, but it could go to a Mies or modernist collector, or a museum as a stand alone item. I wanted to give the owners a shot though, because the case has given my family so much enjoyment over the years, what comes around should go around, and I think my case and Mr. Baische would be pleased that I am at least trying to reconnect here. Maybe it sounds silly, but there is a vibe that we feel, and a correct way to do things and lesser ways. Maybe the stars align and the collector has buckets, but one never knows. Leslie Hindman (the auction lady) saw it and she informed me that the last case of this quality sold for 10K a few years ago, so she would estimate it at 9 -12 without any Mies connection. She said with the connection it is difficult to say, as the provenance makes it unique, another major auctioneer suggested 15 -35 with the 35+ figure dependent on more documentation...I also had the idea of partnering with someone as there is substantial upside for both parties. I am not in a great hurry to sell it, but I am sure not going to give it away either ! I'd require some fairly significant credentials if I did partner it, particularly if the partner wanted to take possession. Thanks for your optimism ! Good motoring !
