Car shuts off when car gets to operating tempature

anyone have any ideas. I have a 76 300d 115. the car runs fine until about 15 min, than the car shuts off. the car cranks fine it will start for a second and shuts off. after letting cool down its starts up fine and drives perfect. I have changed fuel filters and I notice that the clear filter is full of fuel when problem is occurring, I did take the fuel filter cap of other filter and noticed that the fuel was only half way up the canister, also the prime button seems to stick in place I have to manually lift button up.

from what you describe [ pump handle stick at bottom ] the screen at gas tank is plugged ] on a 76 it is at bottom of tank , easy to get too .get a new one , and swap quickly , [ need a o ring ] , no need to drain tank . if you want to use old one , then drain tank , clean old one and put back in .

Once these cars are started, nothing will stop them from running, unless the fuel supply is cut, breather covered or a vacuum is applied to the shut off....try to remove the brown line going to the injection pump and see if the issue is still there..

sounds like something my 123 wagon was doing. Turned out to be the vacuum lines needed replacing.
