From someone who has done it, run, do not walk, as fast as you possibly can from this.
You will spend far more than a good solid restored example getting this car back on the road, if that's even possible.
Just my $0.02.
Hi Adam, I tend to agree with Dan. But if you want to do the project and know what you do, meaning, you have done restorations of such kind before or have friends, who have the time, ressources and above all: the willingness to help you, why not go for it. I can assure you, it will be overwhelming, it will cost you a small fortune and a couple of times you will go nuts. You will abandon it a few times, will come back and will abandon it again. But if you have the will-power and are dick-headed enough, you might over a span of a few years at the end succeed.
You will then have a one of a kind unique vehicle that you can say, you have built literally from scratch. Will it be worth something? Well, to you a lot, because you put your life into it, runined your marriage and your kids have long abandoned you.
If all of that sounds terribly exciting, then what the hell are you waiting for. But don't pay more than £1,000.- for it. On the other hand, at the end it doesn't really matter, what you pay for it, because it will be the smallest investment for your project.
