No worries of fuel leaks and fire under his hood? Would you be able to sleep at night if something bad happened to the car or a person?

Here's what I was reading:

last post on that , but this cis pump is been used on older non cis cars now .either you gave the wrong year to the restoration center [ 1983 / 1973 ] or they feel comfortable in using this pump .[ i am ] .so give them a call to double check . i would make sure you are using good [ high pressure ] fuel hoses on this .

And it sounds like if you were to put in a 71 psi (or lower) pressure relief with fees back to the tank or pump inlet, you'd be OK. I will agree that if that's as complex as the mod needs to be, there's a lot of fuss about these d-jet pumps. I am sure there are plenty of d-jet cars with CIS pumps, hopefully with fuel pressure regulators doing their jobs.

So where do you get a relief valve to install on the pump outlet?

Edit:
Oh. Does the CIS pump have a check valve like the d-jet pumps do? I know CIS systems use an accumulator needed for hot starts. I would hate to exacerbate the hot start (vapor lock) issue that d-jets already have by using a pump with no check valve.
