elec aerial wire colour

Hi all,

Thank you one and all for your responses regarding the original radio/cassette fitted to my car.

There would not seem to be anybody involved in servicing/ repairing the Becker gear her in the land that time forgot.

The cost of getting it to the land of Uncle Sam and fixed and back is silly for a radio.

So - I have bought a simple and non digital radio - this has no c.d or tape function ( the kid in the shop was unaware of what a cassette tape was ) but it does have a thingy into which an I pod goes - so that's o.k and I guess it won't get pinched as it is so uncool.

It also has a wire for operating an elec aerial - anybody know what colour the wire in the original loom is to operate the " mast" ?

There are two grey/ one green and one blue for the speakers, a red for live, and a mystery brown that seems to come from the same area as the red. Also a black that I assume to be earth.

I really like the " flashness" of lifting and lowering the aerial with the radio - so if you know , please let me in on it!!

Kind regards, and thanks again,

Brown is typically the ground and the blue wire is usually for the antenna....I don't know what you have, but this is typical.
