I've swapped the front seats before without issue.. only thing I did was machine a piece to stop the seatback from tilting forward, but that is not necessasy.
in 1970 should be a 2.5 litre.
in 1971 if I remember right is where it gets a bit of overlap
with a 2.5 or 2.8 offered still badged as 250c
1972 is a bit of same
1973 went to 2.8 along with a M110 engine and became 280C
The European spec cars 250C/CE are mostly 2.5's..
2.5/2.8 not much difference..the factory carbs suck and both stifle the engine.
Finds Webers and your MPG and ease of driving will both go up...
I almost pulled the trigger on a beautiful 1972 250C yesterday, has rust issues but not very bad, rest of car was beautiful. But just did not seem right to pick up a 250C with a sunroof for a cabriolet conversion...ill keep looking
