Did you get the hard top off your SLC yet? This guy had some serious struggles. It's definitely worth reading to make sure you don't run into the same issues.

Actually the posted VIN #10702612000002 is a 450SLC 5.0 not a 500SLC.

If it were a rare U.S. muscle car or a European exotic maybe, but 026's are under-appreciated here. Very nice ones barely break $20,000. You might get $50,000 in Germany, if it is real nice. If it has rust you may be very disappointed. I notice that you seem to want your location to be a mystery. I assure you, no one here will do anything other than help you. If fact, three of the 5 Mercedes I own were found for me by BW members. One of those happens to be the 026 I own. Just sayin'...
