I used the stuff
in an old BMW motorcycle for about two years. When I pulled the cylinder heads, a great deal of some sort of fluffy white deposits were evident. I don't know what it is or if it is harmful but it didn't look right to me so I quit using it.
I think our cars (and bikes) are just fine on modern unleaded if we don't dog them and few of us do with our old machinery. If you feel you must do something, hardened valve seats designed for unleaded fuel are the fix.
I solved my Benz potential fuel problems by going diesel.
