1966 250se electric fuel pump

My 1966 250se electric fuel pump for the injection system is delivering very little fuel, I know the tank and tank filter is OK as I have had the tank professionally cleaned and a new filter is fitted, there is around 8 gallons of new fuel in the tank.
the pump is whirring but providing just a dribble, I have disconnected the outlet pipe from the pump and tried the pump again still just a dribble.

I will be taking the pump off to check it but meanwhile does anyone know of an aftermarket electric pump that is suitable, I believe the pump should deliver around 6 psi and 3.3 litres / min can anyone confirm this.

Any help / advice appreciated.

Cliff

I don't know if you're aware, but the OEM pump is still available and (considering what it is) is not horribly expensive (although certainly not cheap).

An aftermarket pump that looks close is this one:

Precision Fuel Pumps E16048 - Electric Fuel Pump | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Correct pressure, but slightly higher flow.

Hi
Yes I am aware that the original type is still available, I am based in the UK and buy some parts from Germany they have one there but it is the short version (mine is the tall version) for around the equivalent of $700.
The O riley one looks OK pressure and flow are about right I will have to use a zip code to get a price though, I have a freind in Louisiana so will try his zip and see if it works thanks.

The original fuel pumps came in the Long and Short varieties, and either can be used. Same pump for W113 and W108 (6 cylinder FI) cars. So if the replacement pump works on a 2.5 FI it will also work on a 2.3 FI engine.

Currently: 1967 250 SL, 1963 220Sb, 1965 300SE Lang, 1971 280SE parts car, 1972 Alfa GTV, 1965 Alfa Duetto, 1993 BMW R100R
Past: 1971 250 C, 1985 300 TD, 1967 250 S, 1968 280 S,1981 300 D, 1982 280CE, 3 Facel Vegas, Borgward Isabella Coupe, Alfa 2600 Sprint, Volvo P1900 (yes), numerous less interesting Volvos, ...

I think most of these had a strainer on the input side. Did you check that to make sure it's not clogged. These typically work as long as the motor is spinning.
