I pretty much think what the other person said. Apples/oranges. Not enough information about either car. I would be surprised if someone wanted literally to "trade" cars. I think a better path is to find the best W116 SD that you can and buy it, and independently sell the W140. I would not want the maintenance issues associated with the W140, but with the low mileage on it you can probably get something for it!!! I see them at the junkyard frequently. Terrible depreciation. Maintenance will be low on the 116, but it's totally an apples/oranges type of experience.
