I don't know what the abbreviations mean but here is your post in English, maybe it will help get a reply.

"EA ban, for KH further available until 1990"

I pretty much understand the sentence, but not the two-letter abbreviation

what EA and KH mean?

There is another abbreviation: EH that brings confusion.
I thought EA may stand for Europe/Amerika but KH/EH in "for .... further available until.... " makes it impossible to comprehend
Google cannot help either (lately - not a surprise)

the secod part (KH) may be relating to "service" or "spares department"

I am German, and KH can apply for 'Kurzhaube,' meaning short hood, or 'Kurzhub' = short stroke.
The MB dealership parts guys may know more.
