I was having the same type of problems, but it wouldn't misfire, it would run then just suddenly die. It would start again after 5 minutes, sometimes it took as long as 30 minutes. It would die just a few minutes after a cold start. I replaced the coil with a new one, but that did not help. I researched the forum and took my chances on the problem being the ignition modual. I ordered a hot spark electronic ignition and another new compatible coil, installed it and it fired right up and has been running great ever since. The Mercedes ignition modual might or might not be your problem. For me it was worth upgrading to the electronic ignition at the time to eliminate the Mercedes modual altogether even though at the time, I wasn't 100 percent sure that by doing that would solve my problem.
