Post A ? regarding my Benz' odometer

Hello All!
I noticed that my odometer has just 5 digits. It appears to me, that there's no good way to tell how many miles one has, beyond 99,999. Am I missing something here?? (it sure wouldn't be the first time...)

I'll patiently await for the knowledge to come pouring in to enlighten me, one more time and I thank you in advance for your responses.

Oh say, since I'm posting... I'm seeking some decent wheel covers/hubcaps, for my '72 MB 280se, in the color of black. Should anyone find themselves with too many of that very thing, let me know. I'd love to hear from you!

Always,
~LilyM2~

And paint isn't too hard to strip from hubcaps. Painting takes a little more patience though. There are plastic painting templates for the hubcaps to save some masking time. I masked and painted one and swore I'd never do it again. Someone on this forum must have one.

Oddly I never found masking the wheels too bad of a job, in fact I found it to be somewhat meditative. I just covered the whole area with blue paint tape (would probably use green this time since it's a bit stickier) and used an exacto knife to trim around the raised chrome star and ring. I didn't even rough the chrome but instead applied an auto primer in one coat, then once dry sanded that slightly and painted using touch-up supplied in a spray can. They look the same 2-years on. I even have an original metal mask tool but preferred the tape method.
