while you are in there, I would plan on doing/inspecting the following as well;
valve seals, cam oilers, intake manifold upper to lower seals, fuel injector seals, distributor seal, new copper nuts for exhaust manifolds, down pipe sealing gasket. While I was in there I also pressure washed the heads, intake, (and the block since I pulled the engine) and painted the block and exhaust manifolds. Believe it or not, the ceramic paint on the exhaust manifold has made the engine compartment cooler (or it is my imagination).
