Last weekend a 1955 sold for 1.9 millions at Barrett Jackson

They also had 1929 roadster which went for half a million

If you are into these cars you should fly and see it
Rare and highly highly desirable fetching big dollars

The "survivor" sold for $1,897,500

The perfectly restored car sold for $1,402,500

Owning a car that is largely a survivor but with some failing paint and tears in the leather, I always planned to get to the cosmetics once the mechanicals were sorted, but after this weekend, backed up by months of similar results elsewhere, I have decided that I am not going to spend one penny on the aesthetic side, and I rather like the patina anyway. Why spend money to potentially make my car worth less?
(I'm only part joking, my car if far from a Gullwing but with prices across the board a wait-and-see approach seems prudent. As they say, they are only original once.)

Kinda funny....if you think about sat in one garage for 30 years and now its on its way to sit in another garage for another 30 years....I highly believe cars should be driven and not sat in a garage...
