If your system is a basket case have you considered an aftermarket FI such as Megasquirt? Might cost less and be easier to maintain in the long run and you can use cheap, modern low impedance injectors. You mentioned you are not concerned with originality. You can also upgrade your ignition to EDIS and the megasquirt will manage it(and you ditch the distributor)

+1 On the Megasquirt. The D-Jet system has another set of points in the base of the distributor that are made out of unobtainium. For some models, there is a repair kit that is made from ass-rapium, as my kid would say. These are used to generate the signal to 'fire' the injectors, sending it to the (primitive) computer.

It may be much less to retrofit with an electronic system of modern precision and reliability.

In any case, please keep us up on the project.
