Rebuild early M117 distributor?

Has anyone rebuilt an early M117 4.5 distributor? I believe my mechanical advance has failed (full advanced). My guess is either the internal springs have failed or it is just frozen in place.

The trigger points for the D-Jet are working great and I'm running Pertronix.

Car is a 72 280SEL 4.5

The counterweights and springs aren't unobtainium - I rebuilt mine when I was stationed in San Diego, about 4 years ago. I've no idea where the shop went for parts, but Houston isn't a small city - there are sure to be specialty places that do these kinds of things. I'd start with restoration shops and see where the trail leads from there.

By the way, after mine was rebuilt, the car was a totally different animal, much for the better.
